About the Principal
“The educator must believe in the potential power of his pupil, and he must employ all his art in seeking to bring his pupil to experience this power”.
My journey of 14 years in Shah International School has been one
which explored and strengthened my innate potential and gave
expression to it. This school provides an environment which enriches
and nurtures everyone who breathes its air, intellectually, spiritually
and emotionally. We emphasise on promoting personal achievement,
building a sense of responsibility and eventually generating a strong
sense of self.
The head of the school who does not draw a perfect balance between
academics and co-curricular activities does no justice to the job
assigned to her as the head of the institution. If we enter the nostalgia
lane, 15-20 yrs back, it was academics only which established students’
intelligence but this has faded into lore. In our rapidly changing
society, there is an immediate need to address and inculcate global
awareness into the curriculum. Keeping this in mind I always strive hard
to bring about a reasonable level of equilibrium.
Students are increasingly becoming aware of the shrinking world and
are confronted with issues that require a global education focus. To
succeed in today’s world students need to be equipped with high tech
skills, broad interdisciplinary knowledge about the contemporary world,
adaptability and flexibility. We are incorporating relevant curriculum to
help students to understand and function effectively in social, cultural
and economic worlds and to understand the notion of globalisation.
The moral fibre of the school is the dedicated team of teaching and
supporting staff committed to excellence and welfare of the children,
for whom their profession is a passion and a calling card. Since this
new job has been assigned to me, I am putting in my best to ensure
that I deliver my maximum.
